Point Grey Music Gear

Point Grey Music Department T-shirts and hoodies are now available online. We have partnered with Canvus Printing here in Vancouver and they will be making the shirts. They are a green company specializing in a new printing process that is environmentally friendly.

There are a number of different designs. Everyone in grades 9-12 will need the official design for touring; the other designs are completely optional. All designs are available in t-shirts or hoodies; you need to play around with the drop down menus to see all the options. Just ignore the information about the number of hours or days left; this does not apply to us but is part of the store’s software that we can’t change. Merchandise will be delivered to the school for you to pick up from your music teacher.

Any proceeds from the sale of the shirts will come back to Point Grey’s Music Department.

Spain 2016

This is a re-post of the original Spain Tour bulletin. We are re-posting because we have 8 spots left on the tour. For anyone who wants to join the tour now, we need all forms by Friday, Sept 25. First come, first served.

The Spain tour is on! Now that we have committed to the airlines, we have a limited number of spots still available. If you are interested, please get a deposit cheque to the school this week.

Everyone going to Spain needs to fill out the passport registration form, as well as provide a photocopy of their passport.

We sent a notice home with students for the proposed trip to Spain next year. The itinerary is excellent and will provide students with opportunities and experiences they would not be able to duplicate if they traveled on their own.The trip is open to students in grades 10-12 who are enrolled in Senior Strings, Senior Concert Choir, and Symphonic Band.

As students in Jazz Band and Chamber Choir are in at least one of those three large ensembles, we are hoping to have enough students participate that the small ensembles will also be able to perform.

There was a parent meeting to discuss details with our travel agent on Monday, May 25 in the auditorium. Our travel agent, Wendy Perkins, was there to answer questions in detail. If you have any questions that aren’t answered in the linked documents, please call or email one of the music teachers so we can help you.
